This time a year ago, after a long gestation period, I named this work Midwife of the Soul and oriented to what was calling to be birthed! From this tiny seedling, the nature of what I’m doing has continued to emerge and reveal itself, and I am so grateful to every person who took the risk to be with me in this fledgling space – I couldn’t have gotten here, one solar cycle later, brimming with ideas and energy, without you!
I still feel very much at the beginning of what is undoubtedly a lifelong journey, but I can also see that after a year of exploration, I am honing in on what the work is…
:: collaborating with others: “being with” in the spirit of any good midwife, solidarity in the birthing process
:: creating containers for people to gather: sharing our own truth & wisdom
:: trusting in the wisdom of the body: allowing it to speak through connection, creativity, sound, touch…
:: trusting in the present moment: the unseen possibilities that emerge
:: paying attention > making meaning > making sacred
:: attuning to the process, rather than the outcome: feels like core feminine territory, so much to learn here…
:: working with patterns: using various maps of the cycles to bring meaning & rhythm to life’s journey
