Four Seasons Journey: Gift 2

{Inspired by Women’s Health Week I wanted to share some of the gifts I’ve received from participating in the Four Seasons Journey – one of the best things I’ve ever done in terms of my health and power as a woman!}

We sit in circle, lighting candles, holding hands, grounding ourselves, feeling the energy flowing around and through us all.  Creating a safe, robust container in which to fully show up.

We celebrate our journey.  We offer love to those pained parts of ourselves, shamed and vulnerable.  This is the spiritual technology of circle: energy freed, wholeness remembered!

A sister speaks, and I hear echoes of our shared truth.
A sister cries, and I feel ripples of our shared pain.
A sister shares, and I see visions of our next unfoldings.

Truly we are woven, invisible threads wrapping us forever in this common experience of womanhood.  Such nourishment in this solidarity!  We are attuning to a shamanic worldview: the ability to perceive the invisible, in order to know our place as loved and Held.

The shaman always travelled to the Edge, bringing back life-giving wisdom for the good of the tribe.  And in circle, we do the same, travelling to our edges – physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually – in order to bring back the wisdom for which we are all hungering, for which the world is hungering.  Together we are oracular, listening with open hearts and bodies to the present moment and all it contains.  We call this ‘Circle as Shaman.’

We create spontaneous healing rituals.
We come toward, offering touch, song, the warmth of our hearts.
We stay back, offering space, time, the deep trust of our hearts.
Body remedies for bereftness.
In a living prayer, we call ourselves Home.
